Abstract: |
|
At the last of 20th century, energy crisis and environmental protection promote the research on bio-butanol production from biomass fermentation. Owing to its separation efficiency, energy-saving, environmental friendly and convenient for coupling with fermentation, pervaporation separation technology plays an important role in the bio-butanol production process. Therefore, this paper reviewed the hydrophobic and hydrophilic pervaporation membranes used for bio-butanol production, as well as the ABE fermentation-pervaporation coupled process, and finally the future trend in this field were prospected. |
