In order to integrate the performance of polylactic acid and polycaprolactone, the raw materials of PLA and PCL were melt-blended, extruded and granulated, and then solution-casted into blending membranes with different proportion. The performance of the blend membranes samples with different ratios is discussed in detail, and the results of the study indicate that: PLA can be blended with PCL and then solution-casted into membranes in some proportions. And there is no reaction during the blending process concluded from the evidence that there is no new absorption peak in infrared spectrum of these blend membranes. Besides, the DSC traces and the SEM photographs verify that the blend membranes is incompatible systems. In addition, the wettblility of the different blend membranes are all better than that of single material. Furthermore in mechanics performance testing we can see that the defects of the two single materials can be overcome by blending. |
