An independent research on active cross-flow membrane separation equipment was used in anaerobic/anoxic/oxic process (A/A/O) to treat urban sewage. The membrane device was directly installed in the aeration tank, and it implemented active cross-flow filtration by programmed rotation operation. The experimental results demonstrated that the effluent COD and NH4+- N were below 40 mg/L and 1 mg/L. The removal rate of COD and NH4+- N were 91.3% and 98%, respectively. Cake layer could be prevented effectively because of fluid shear force on the membrane surface and powerful turbulence generated in the device rotation in the case of sludge concentration up to 16000 mg/L. The speed of membrane fouling was significantly slowed down, and membrane equipment showed excellent anti-blocking and anti-pollution ability. During the experiment, the membrane flux remained stable and the operating pressure of the membrane increased slowly. The chemical cleaning cycle was selected for 80 days without any maintenance cleaning. The operation energy consumption of the membrane equipment could reduce 60% than traditional aeration operation. |
